ただいまお掃除中／Currently Cleaning

ルンバのサイズって、ホントによく考えられてる。イスの脚の間をするりと抜ける、その絶妙な大きさ。

でもね、ちょっとちょっと！汚れを見つけると、その場でくるくる回るから……こっちの目まで回っちゃうんだよ。しかも君、掃除機能はあっても“汚れを削ぎ落とす”力まではないでしょ！？

そんなルンバ、どうやら経営がちょっとピンチらしい。確かに、まわりを見れば知り合いはみんなアンカーやドリーミー派。価格は半分くらいで、ステーションドック付き、水拭きまでしてくれるんだから、ルンバの立場は苦しい。なんとか踏ん張ってほしいところだ。

――と、そんな大人の事情はさておき。今日もルンバは、上に乗った小さな“掃除部隊ガール”と一緒にくるくる、コロコロ、健気にお掃除中。

あれ？気づけばネコがじっと様子をうかがっている。ネコルンバを待ちきれず、獲物を狙うハンターの目つきで、そろりそろりと忍び寄ってくるではないか…。さて、この小さな大冒険（お掃除）の結末やいかに？

But hey, wait a second! The moment it finds a bit of dirt, it starts spinning in circles, and suddenly I’m the one getting dizzy. And you there—sure, you can vacuum, but you don’t exactly have the power to scrub off stubborn stains, do you?

And yet, rumor has it Roomba’s business is in a bit of trouble. No surprise, really—most people I know have already switched to Anker or Dreame. They’re about half the price, come with docking stations, and even mop the floors. Tough times for Roomba, no doubt. I do hope it manages to hold its ground.

—But enough of that grown-up talk. Today, as always, Roomba is faithfully circling and whirring away, this time with a tiny “cleaning squad girl” riding proudly on top, broom in hand.

And look there—what’s that? A cat, watching intently. It’s waited long enough for its turn as “Cat-Roomba,” but patience has snapped. With predator’s eyes locked on the target, it creeps forward, slow and silent. So… how will this little cleaning adventure end?
